Chiropractic care is an excellent investment in the physical well being of children and adults and today, most health insurance plans will cover part of the cost of your care. However, different types of insurance plans may cover very different amounts of your care. Because of this, we have listed how we deal with each type of insurance plan below. Please read how we deal with your particular type of policy.

Patients WITHOUT Insurance:  We require 100% payment at the time services are rendered. If you are participating in a care plan, payments may be made once a week instead of each day. We are happy to accept cash, check, Discover card, Mastercard or VISA.

Patients with BLUE CROSS GROUP Insurance: Congratulations, we are a BC preferred provider. This means that if your BC policy covers Chiropractic care,  you will get an additional discount on your visits. We will call BC to verify your policy coverage and determine what your portion of the bill you will have to pay. However, please be aware, we will be telling you what your insurance company is telling us and we cannot guarantee their payments. We will do all your insurance billing, reporting, and wait for your insurance company's paymens and you will only have to pay your co-paysas you receive your care.

Patients with HEALTH ALLIANCE Insurance: Welcome. You have one of three different forms of health insurance plans and each one works differently.

-- HMO: This plan requires you to see your primary care physician to get a referral for your Chiropractic care. Once the referral is obtained, your plan will pay a certain% of the bill and you will be required to pay the rest. We will be glad to verify your policy coverage to determine what your portion of the bill you will have to pay. However, please be aware we will be telling you what your insurance company is telling us and we cannot guarantee their payments. We will do all your insurance billing, reporting, and wait for your insurance company's payment and you will only have to pay your co-pays as you receive your care.

-- PPO: This plan does not requires you to see your primary care physician to get a referral for your Chiropractic care. Your plan will will pay a certain% of the bill and you will be required to pay the rest.

-- POS:  This plan does not requires you to see your primary care physician to get a referral for your Chiropractic care. Your plan will will pay a certain% of the bill and you will be required to pay the rest.

Patients with other GROUP Insurance: We will be glad to verify your policy coverage to determine what your portion of the bill you will have to pay. However, please be aware we will be telling you what your insurance company is telling us and we cannot guarantee their payments. We will do all your insurance billing, reporting, and wait for your insurance company's payment and you will only have to pay your co-pays as you receive your care.

Patients with WORK COMP Insurance: If you are injured on the job, your care should be paid for under your employer's worker's compensation insurance. You will need to inform your employerof the accident and obtain the name and phone number of the insurance company. When you bring this to us, we will call to verify that the coverage is in effect and that the injury has been reported to them. Our experience has been the most worker's compensation plan authorize care in segments of 1 month. For all care authorized, your cost will be zero. We will do all your insurance billing, reporting, and wait for your insurance company's payment.

Patients with AUTO ACCIDENT Insurance: There are 2 different forms of Automobile insurance that pay for health care, liability& med-pay. Each one is handled a little differently.

--Liablity: This plan is when someone else is responsible for the car accident. Typically, you will have an accident report and the other driver may have been ticketed. We will to see this accident report so we can obtain the fault at insurance company. Once this is done, we will do all your insurance billing, reporting, and wait for your insurance company's payment. You should not have to pay anything for your care.

--Med-Pay: This plan is when you are responsible for the car accident. Typically, this coverage is still 100% but sometimes your plan might pay less than that. We will be glad to verify your policy coverage to determine what your portion of the bill you will have to pay. However, please be aware we will be telling you what your insurance company is telling us and we cannot guarantee their payments. We will do all your insurance billing, reporting, and wait for your insurance company's payment. You may not have to pay anything for your care.

Patients with MEDICARE Insurance: There are several forms of this insurance plan now and we will try and explain the difference.

--Medicare Part B: This is the government senior care health coverage for Doctor visits. This is an excellent insurance and pays very well for active, corrective chiropractic care. However, there are several steps that must be taken to qualify your care for coverage under this plan, some of which they do not pay for. Also, our office does not accept Medicare assignment, this means you will get checks. We will call to verify your policy coverage to determine what Medicare will pay you. We will do all your insurance billing, reporting, but again the insurance checks will come to you.

--Medicare Replacement Coverage: You no longer have Medicare Part B but someone else's insurance coverage. I am sorry to say but this type of insurance typically does not pay Chiropractic care well. We will be glad to call to verify what, if any, your policy coverage is. We will do all your insurance billing, reporting, but we do not accept assignment on these policies, the insurance checks will go to you.

--Medicare Supplemental/Secondary: This is an insurance policy that is in addition to the Medicare Part B plan. It will usually pay most of what Medicare Part B authorizes to pay but doesn't, your deductable, co-pay, etc. This means that your cost for corrective chiropractic care could be as low as zero, depending on your plan coverage. We will call to verify your policy coverage to determine what your real costs will be. We will do all your insurance billing, reporting, but again, the insurance checks will come to you.

We will try to help you get your insurance plan to pay as much of your care as possible but you must realize that all charges are billed to you and ultimately, if your insurance company does not pay as they said they would, you would be responsible for payment. If you have any questions, please ask us as Insurance Coverage can be very confusing.
